Seacliff Consulting, formed in 2008, is owned and managed by Phil Preston. Phil has worked in the finance industry since 1988 in a variety of roles, culminating in heading up global credit research activities at Colonial First State Global Asset Managers. In 2006, partly in response to increased awareness of climate change risks and a recognition that these were not being adequately addressed in investment portfolios, he began working in the field of responsible investment and was a member of the Steering Committee that oversaw its adoption and implementation.

The name ‘Seacliff Consulting’ is derived from a bridge that is in his local vicinity. The ‘Sea Cliff Bridge’ sits out over the edge of the Pacific ocean and links the Northern Illawarra suburbs of Coalcliff and Scarborough in NSW, Australia.
